Selmas hytt & salong is a top rated hostel boat in the centre of Uppsala.
UI Design, Responsive, WordPress, Elementor, Photo, Text, Picture Direction, Identity
I created the company’s first site at launch a number of years ago. After the pandemic, it needed updating and redesigning to match the times.
The site should mainly contain information, pictures and booking facilities. The main aim is to drive through concrete bookings. Either directly via forms on the page or as a basis for booking via travel channels.
My responsibility was to make an update from scratch.
The site is created in WordPress with Elementor on blank canvas. I have designed the site with sec- tions, blocks and various widgets. My aim was to make the visual design simple, intuitive and inviting.
My priority for what to display:
I wanted to make the site sleek and modern, jet charming with a level that reflects the standard of the hostel.
The main picture I had the opportunity to photograph on an incomparably beautiful summer evening. I think it’s an invitation to round off the day by settling into a comfortable bed on the hostel boat.
Three flip boxes show and describe some comparable benefits of the hostel.
A slider shows the picture and name of the different room types. Buttons for each room link to a page with more in-depth information.
The hostel is highly appreciated, which I wanted to emphasise. Therefore I have included a large sec- tion with statements and review widgets from a variety of booking channels and travel sites.
Each room has its own page with specifications and pictures.
Separate booking page for easy access.
The contact page is simple and clear with contact details and message form.
